A blood drive scheduled for Monday will honor Jackson Beattie, a 4-year-old from Superior who received a kidney transplant in July.
The blood drive will be from noon to 5:45 p.m. at Calumet Specialty Products’ main conference room, 2407 Stinson Ave., Superior.
The goal is 100 units, and Calumet will donate $25 to the Kidney Foundation for every blood donation. Jackson is the son of David Beattie, a Calumet employee. The child received donated blood during his kidney transplant.
Walk-ins are welcome, but to make an appointment call the Northland Chapter of the American Red Cross at (218) 348-9051.
