Reader’s view: Take politicians’ pay, put them in a soup line
As I sit here listening to these politicians I get sick. They talk about laying off thousands of workers. I have a better plan: Strip these guys of their salaries and put them in a soup line. They sure are not doing the job they were elected to do, which was represent the people of the USA. Most have been in office long enough. They created this problem and can’t fix it without going after their people; too much money and politics stand in the way. They don’t believe in compromise. “Do it my way!” I see there are several not seeking re-election; they can’t stand the heat. I don’t know how these guys sleep at night.By: Donald E. About the gun debate: It’s not the gun that kills; it’s the person who fires it, and I can see taking away these high-powered ones. But don’t hurt the sportsman. These guys who buy them should be tested some way. It should be like getting a license renewed. In this day there are too many wackos out there. Maybe television has something to do with that. Or video games. Or dope.
