MICHAEL B. GRENIGER

Michael B. Greniger, 67, of Chisholm, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at his residence.

He was born Feb. 15, 1946 in Duluth to George S. and Carnetha (Westby) Greniger.

He grew up in Chisholm and was a 1964 graduate of Chisholm High School and was a lifelong Chisholm resident. He graduated from UMD with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education.

Michael worked as a Crew Chief on a St. Louis County engineering crew for many years. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Chisholm. He enjoyed boating on Lake Vermilion.

He was preceded in death by his father George S. on Aug. 30, 1976 and six uncles and five aunts.

Survivors include his mother Carnetha Greniger; sister Gail Schmidt of Cloquet, Minn.; brother Teddy (Winnie) Sundberg of Gilbert, Minn.; and several cousins.

SERVICE: 12 Noon Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 inthe Rupp Funeral Home & Cremation Service Chapel in Chisholm with Rev. Dr. David Stevens of Faith Lutheran Church in Chisholm officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service in the chapel on Thursday. Private family interment will be in the spring at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
