The highest unemployment rates are among the young, Hispanics and African-Americans, interestingly enough. Homelessness and dependence on food stamps are way up. Our high unemployment rate must not become the new normal. We must not settle for this stagnant Obama economy.
Unemployment will come down when a president is elected who promotes private-sector wealth, private-sector job creation, free enterprise, low taxes and fewer government regulations.
It’s shameful; Obama’s failure to focus on our faltering economy, that is.
Instead of majoring in
private-sector job creation, Obama is majoring in wedge issues. Here they are: getting tough on law-abiding gun owners by eroding the Second Amendment, contraception and abortifacients as a right to be paid for by you and me, gay scoutmasters, changing the definition of marriage, openly gay activity in the military, women on the front lines of combat, abortion coverage as part of Obamacare paid for by you and me — and on and on.
Obama seems so enamored of his wedge-issues agenda that he seems to have little time left for our floundering private-sector economy — except for taxing it, regulating it and hamstringing its growth.
Obama is harming our economy by majoring in minors. Polls consistently show the economy is the major concern of a majority of Americans. Does Obama really care?
Obama’s promise to transform America has been forced upon us at great expense: wedge issues, stretching the Constitution beyond recognition, grabbing power from Congress and bullying the Supreme Court — all while we and the economy suffer as Obama majors in minors.
God help us all.
