Sibley Bands : The New Abnormal Sammie Villella

There is in fact a band here at Sibley that plays live shows across the Twin Cities! Who knew, right? This band calls themselves The New Abnormal. The members consist of Fletcher Todd (grade 10-lead guitarist, vocals), Jett Roser (grade 10-drums), Billy Gleason (grade 10-lead vocals, rhythm guitar), and Chris Wehr (grade 12-bass guitar). I got a chance to ask Fletcher Todd about their band and got some information on their background.

The New Abnormal is a punk rock band that started at the end of their eighth grade year in 2011. They are most influenced by bands like Green Day, Nirvana, and The Black Keys. While they say music is mostly just a hobby, they have gigs at places such as The Garage and Station 4. Music as a hobby can be very important as a creative outlet. This is a hobby, regardless of what comes from it, that will most likely stick with these guys forever.
