JOHN MAGNUS STAHL

John M. Stahl, 63, of Duluth, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his family.

he was born April 26, 1949 in Chicago, Ill., to John P. and Evelyn (Hanson) Stahl.

John moved to the area in 1950 and was united in marriage to Roxanne Jones on July 27, 1991. He worked in the maintenance department for Lake Superior Plaza Co. for 11 years retiring in 2012.

John was a member of the Owls Club of Duluth; Palestine Masonic Lodge No. 79 A.F.&A.M. and served as Master in 2005; AAD Shrine in Duluth and served as President of the AAD Shrine Provost Unit in 2006; and was a member of the Viking Shrine Club in Cloquet and served as director of the Fire Truck Parade Unit.

John was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Roxanne; four children, Dawn (Brian) Driscoll of Whitefish, Mont., Kim (Brandon Hubbard) Stahl of Milwaukee, Wis., Christopher Anderson of Loveland, Colo., and Gretchen Anderson of Fort Collins, Colo.; five grandchildren.

VISITATION: 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 in Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet with a Masonic Service at 10:30 a.m., presented by Brothers of Palestine Masonic Lodge No 79; and memorial service at 11 a.m.
