Islamic Center of the Twin Ports to hold fundraiser for Syrian refugees

The Islamic Center of the Twin Ports will host a dinner Saturday to benefit relief organizations working in Syria during the continuing conflict there.

There will be two seatings for dinner on Saturday, at 5:30 and 7 p.m., at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Duluth, 835 W. College St. Dinner will feature Middle Eastern foods and vegetarian options. There is no set price; donations will be at the diner’s discretion.

Money raised will go to groups registered by the U.S. to provide food and water for refugees from the conflict in Syria.

General donations can be sent to the Islamic Center at 145 Winona St., Duluth, MN 55803.
