Shirley A. Hady, formerly of Midway Road in Hermantown, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, in Solvay Hospice House with her family at her side.

Shirley A. Hady, formerly of Midway Road in Hermantown, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, in Solvay Hospice House with her family at her side.

Shirley was born June 30, 1934, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Thornton and Esther Robson. She graduated from West High School in Cleveland. Shirley met James Hady and they were married Dec. 7, 1957, and moved to Duluth in 1967.

She was a member of St. Raphael’s Church in Pike Lake, Women’s Golf League at the Auto Club and a sewing club. Shirley enjoyed bowling, golfing, softball and following her sons and grandchildren’s sports.

She was the love of Big Jimmy’s life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thornton and Esther; and her sister, Patricia.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Jim; sons Jeff (Renee) of Hermantown and Michael (Karin) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandchildren Alissa, Kaelen, Connor, Matthias, Jonah and Mark; great-grandchildren Brady and Brennan; sister Bonnie Easton; and niece and nephews, Patty, Tom and Jim.

VISITATION: 5-7 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Wake Prayer Friday, Feb. 1, in the Dougherty Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial: 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, in St. Raphael’s Church, 5779 Seville Road, Pike Lake.
