MARTIN "MARTY" M. HAGE

Martin "Marty" M. Hage passed away Tuesday Jan. 1, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospice in Duluth, after a short battle with cancer.

Martin "Marty" M. Hage passed away Tuesday Jan. 1, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospice in Duluth, after a short battle with cancer.

Marty was born Jan. 14, 1933 in Duluth, to Carl and Ethel (Preston) Hage.

He graduated from Cotton High School, and in 1951 joined the U.S. Navy during the Korean War as an aircraft mechanic. Marty married his loving wife of 54 years, Sharon Wedwick Oct. 18, 1958. Together they had three children, Kathryn, Mark and Tammi. Marty retired in 1984 from Duluth AFB as a jet engine mechanic.

Marty was preceded in death by infant brother Peter; his parents; his brother Stanley (wife Joan) and nephew David.

He is survived by his loving wife Sharon; children Kathryn (Jeff) Wolter, Mark Hage and Tammi Hage; seven grandchildren and one great grandson; brother, Kenneth (Lorraine) Hage and favorite cousin Doris Lane along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family expresses deep appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Dean Fox and Dr. Mark Munson along with the staff at St. Mary's Hospice.

VISITATION: 10 a.m. Saturday Jan. 5, 2013 until the 11 a.m. service in Twig at Lutheran Bethlehem Lutheran Church. At Marty's request, no flowers please.
