Fred and Jean Anderson of Duluth will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary and Christmas with their family in Edwards, Colo.

Fred and Jean Anderson of Duluth will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary and Christmas with their family in Edwards, Colo.

Fred and the former Jean Mahowald were married Jan. 3, 1953, in St. Michaels Church in Duluth.

Their sons are Dennis Anderson and Gerald Anderson, both of Edwards. They have two granddaughters.

Fred retired as owner/operator of Lakeside Barber Shop in 1999, after 43 years. Jean retired from Blood Donors Inc. in the 1980s.
