Lindsay Perala-Dewey of Minneapolis and James Schlemmer of Bloomington, Minn., were married Aug. 18 in University Lutheran Church of Hope in Minneapolis.

Lindsay Perala-Dewey of Minneapolis and James Schlemmer of Bloomington, Minn., were married Aug. 18 in University Lutheran Church of Hope in Minneapolis.
Her parents are Brad Dewey and Susan Perala-Dewey of Duluth. His parents are Bill and Karen Schlemmer of Bloomington.
The bride chose Christa Saeger as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Greta Simmonds, Molly Ham, Laura Regal, Brittney Saline, Stasia Verdoljak and Margaret Kocher.
The groom chose his brother, Jon Schlemmer, as best man. Groomsmen were James Perala-Dewey, Jeffrey Perala-Dewey, Erich Heber, Bob Koss, Brock Safe and Corey Coonen.
The bride, a 2005 graduate of Duluth East High School, graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in cello performance and from the University of Minnesota with a master’s degree in cello performance. She is a paraprofessional for Bloomington Public Schools and a freelance cellist and cello teacher.
The groom, a 2003 graduate of Bloomington Jefferson High School in Bloomington, graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism/mass communication. He is a team lead at Regis Corp. in Minneapolis.
