Susan J. Wisocki, 64, of Duluth died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 in her home, surrounded by her family.
Sue was born, April 5, 1948 in Milwaukee, Wis., to Ernie and Marge Schober.
She was raised in Dodge Center, Minn., and she moved to Duluth at age 17. Sue graduated from Duluth East High School and UMD. It was at UMD that Sue met the love of her life, Steve Wisocki; they were married on Sept. 4, 1971. Sue had worked as Bishop Paul Anderson’s secretary for two years and she also sold the Pickwick gift certificates during the Christmas rush. She loved to golf at Ridgeview; traveling with Steve; spending time with friends and family; Steve and Mother (Steve’s nickname for Sue) loved having a cocktail while watching the sunsets over her beautiful gardens; and she especially loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Sue was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Schober.
Sue is survived by her husband, Steve; children, Chris of Telluride, Colo., Sara (Shane) Johnson and Adam (Holly) both of Duluth; her parents, Ernie and Marge Schober of Duluth; grandchildren, Owen, Henry, Gabe, Abby and Lily; brothers, Jim (Becky), Dan (Rosie), Tom (Erma) and Geoffrey Schober and many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank Essentia Health Cancer Center; Dr. Johns, Dr. Ketchum and Dr. Munson for their loving care of Sue.
VISITATION: 5 p.m. Tuesday with Wake Prayers at 7 p.m. in the Dougherty Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, 2801 E 4th St. Duluth. Memorials are preferred and may be directed to American Cancer Society for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 130 W Superior St. Duluth, MN 55802.
