Difficult driving conditions north of Duluth this morning

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is reporting difficult driving conditions this morning on U.S. Highway 53 between Duluth and the Iron Range.
MnDOT, and scanner reports from law enforcement agencies, reports icy conditions along the highway. Several accidents have been reported on the scanner, and conditions appear to be particularly dangerous in the Cotton and Canyon areas.
Conditions should improve as temperatures continue to rise this morning.
Rain, sleet and snow fell across the Northland overnight.
