Did You Receive My Latest Letter?
What a multiplicity of writings have gone forth to you,
my family and friends, since our last meeting,
penned in that substratum vacuum between sleep
and wakefulness when the ages are intermingled
in my night dreams!
Always, before my mind's pen races with the script,
its tablet is peopled with the intermingled love'd,
those love'd years gone, those love'd in my midst
and my distant love'd.
My pen dashes across these brainchild pages -
sharing, singing, crying, confining, laughing, caring, sighing.
How gratifying to my heart are my brimful letters,
repete with hitherto neglected, or unspoken, atonements,
congratulations, declarations of love and surprise.
Never ruminating, my potter's wheel mind-pen whirls
with brilliant, lucid, radiant and stupendous prose.
I post the awesome missives just before dawn,
confident telepathy will deliver right to you
my mind's eye proliferations.
Did you recive my latest letter?
