Jim “JP” Perrault, 56, of Duluth, fought and lost the awful war against the beast on Nov. 21, 2012.
Jim was born on September 3, 1956 to Larry and Francis (Fox) Perrault.
JP attended East High School graduating in 1975 where he fought in the Lightweight Boxing Division. He loved the memories and adventures that his family created at Lake Nichols. He was very proud of his 34 years as a Lineman at MN Power and all of his friends and crew. His goal was to collect “free checks in his retirement” but that wasn’t in the plan.
Jim loved to be in his boat either trolling, fishing or just drinking beer and stopping by his “good friends” homes. We all enjoyed the lake and all of the garage times. All were welcomed. “What happens at the lake stays at the lake.”
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Rick and nephew Jimmy.
Jim is survived by his wife and best friend Sue; his/her children, Brian (Jacki), Richard, David all of Duluth, Kyle of Saginaw; the only girl Kelly (Mike) of Duluth; his children Dan (Cathy) of Memphis, Tenn., Mark, Scott and Jake of Duluth; grandbaby Sophia; mother-in-law Sally (Art) Solots; father-in-law Tim Kwapick both of Duluth; brother Tom (Dena) of Superior, Scott of Florida; nephews Joey and Matt; the big white thing “Boomer”; his friends and crew on the “Line Dock”; good friends and best people Doug and Micky Mandy of Rogersville, Tenn., as well as many other extended family members and friends. None of us will be able to express how much we will miss him.
VISITATION: 12:30 p.m. to the 1:30 p.m. memorial service on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 in Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel 4100 Grand Ave. with a reception to follow. Services entrusted to Cremation Society of Minnesota 624-5200
