Chris Jensen joins campaign

Chris Jensen Health & Rehabilitation announced it’s joining a Bloomington, Minn.-based nonprofit’s campaign to improve nursing home care.

The campaign by Stratis Health is called Acting Together to Achieve Excellence. It’s designed to eliminate illnesses caused by health-care practices and to improve resident satisfaction, a news release from the nursing home said. It specifically targets dementia care and seeks to prevent pressure ulcers, falls and urinary-tract infections.

Participating nursing homes will share successes and best practices over the next few years, the news release said.

Chris Jensen, a privately operated, 170-bed facility on Rice Lake Road, previously announced a partnership with Stratis Health in an initiative to reduce hospital re-admissions.
