Bruce and Lavonne Jackson 40th wedding anniversary

Bruce and Lavonne Jackson of Duluth celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a gathering of family and friends on Nov. 11 at Twig Bakery and Restaurant.

Bruce and Lavonne Jackson of Duluth celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a gathering of family and friends on Nov. 11 at Twig Bakery and Restaurant.

Bruce and the former Lavonne VanHorn were married Nov. 18, 1972, in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Aitkin.

Their children are Diane and Tom Meyer of Glenwood, Minn., and Brian Jackson, Kevin and Penny Jackson, and Daniel Jackson, all of Duluth. They have five grandchildren.

Bruce is retired from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Lavonne works at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth.
