The first Rockin’ for Amberwing benefit is Friday night at Grandma’s Sports Garden in Canal Park. The show, which goes from 7-11:30 p.m., features the best music from the 1980s from the band MYNX, drawings for raffle prizes and a silent auction.
If music from the ’80s isn’t enough to whet your appetite, maybe the all-you-can-eat pizza and pasta buffet from 5-8 p.m. will. Proceeds from the event benefit Amberwing, the Miller-Dwan Foundation’s Duluth outpatient wellness center for children and young adults up to age 25 in need of support for mental-health and chemical-dependency treatment.
Advance tickets can be purchased by calling the Miller-Dwan Foundation office at (218) 786-5829 or going to the Essentia Health gift shop, 502 E. Second St., main lobby, in Duluth. Tickets are $20 for people older than age 12. Tickets for kids 12 and younger are $10.
