Doctor who fought breast cancer to speak Thursday in Duluth

Dr. Michelle Oman will talk about her experiences with cancer during a free breast cancer seminar from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the August Fitger Room at Fitgers, 600 E. Superior St.
The event, sponsored by Essentia Health and called “A Recipe for Breast Health,” will begin with gourmet refreshments and a chance to talk with breast cancer experts during the first hour. Oman, a family practice physician in Aurora who battled an aggressive form of breast cancer, will discuss breast cancer myths during the second hour. Also, Dr. Ken Dornfeld, a radiation oncologist, will explain mammography screening guidelines.
