VIDEO: Vikings punter Chris Kluwe debates Minnesota marriage amendment

UPDATE: Kluwe brought his message to the Brave New Workshop in Minneapolis today for a debate.

It's an understatement to say Chris Kluwe hasn't been shy when it comes to voicing his opposition to the Minnesota marriage amendment. The Vikings punter has blogged on the issue and talked about his feelings on the topic in media outlets across the country.

Kluwe brought his message to the Brave New Workshop in Minneapolis today for a debate. His sparring partner? An empty chair — sort of.

The Brave New Workshop said that Kluwe reached out to several state politicians and other proponents of the amendment (including former Vikings center Matt Birk, who has spoken publicly in support), but his invite to debate hadn't been accepted. For the debate, which was moderated by KQRS radio personality Tom Barnard, Kluwe went up against Brave New Workshop actors who occupied the chair and acted as the "Vote Yes" side using direct quotes from those who supported the amendment.
