SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Law enforcement officials are asking for the public's help in finding a large amount of cash that was lost or misplaced by an armored car company likely transporting the money in eastern South Dakota and southwestern Minnesota.

KELO-TV in Sioux Falls reported that Rochester Armored Car lost the cash from area banks about two weeks ago.

FBI agent Greg Boosalis said an investigation is looking into what happened to the money. He said the cash was placed in clear plastic bags that contained an undisclosed amount of money.

Boosalis says anyone who finds the money or knows where it's at could be prosecuted if they do not notify authorities.
