Victoria Yellow Earrings, 60, of Duluth, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012.
She was born Feb. 20, 1952 in Arizona to Benito and Josephine (Kingbird) Urrutia.
Vicky as a member of the Red Lake Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and worked as a social worker for the Fond du Lac Reservation. She loved her culture and Native American Pow Wow’s, and spending time with her family.
Vicky was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, James K. VanNett.
She is survived by three daughters, Renee VanNett, JoeAnn Hernandez and Maria VanNett; five brothers, four sisters; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 beginning at the Fond du Lac Reservation Gymnasium. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday also at the FDL Gymnasium. Interment will follow at Oneota Cemetery in Duluth.
