LINDA C. BROWN

Linda C. Brown, 58, of Grand Rapids, Minn., died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012.

Linda was born in 1954 to Clifford and Sylvia Troseth in Bigfork, Minn.

She moved to Zim, Minn., at the age of two and graduated from Cherry High School in 1972. Linda lived in the Twin Cities for several years. She worked four years for AEOA and 21 years as an Employment Counselor for the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe. She was united in marriage to Dennis Brown on Aug. 5, 2000 in Grand Rapids and for the past 12 years lived in Grand Rapids and commuted to her office in Virginia. She loved Eagles and the Mallard Bay Camp.

Linda was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids. She liked to play bingo at the Eagles Club and enjoyed trips to the casino.

Linda was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis; son Rio Bontems of Grand Rapids, Minn.; mother, Sylvia Katherine Troseth, Virginia, Minn.; two brothers, David (Linda) Troseth, Angora, Minn., and Ted (Corinna) Troseth, Phoenix, Ariz.; two step- daughters, Aura (Antonino) Coppola, Duluth, and Jessica Hormann, St. Paul; five grandchildren, Christina, Emma, Ben, Aura and Lyla; and numerous nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, for one hour until the 11 a.m. Memorial Service in First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. Greg Demuth will officiate. Burial will be at Itasca-Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids, Minn.
