Margaret R. Ohlgren, 71, of Monticello passed away Monday at Regency Hospital in Golden Valley.
Margaret R. Ohlgren, 71, of Monticello passed away Monday at Regency Hospital in Golden Valley.
She was born Nov. 21, 1940 in Moose Lake Township to Eino and Elsa (Johnson) Jouppi.
She graduated from Two Harbors High School and St. Luke’s Nursing School in Duluth.
Margaret married Eilef Ohlgren in 1963 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Duluth and they were later divorced. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Duluth, Waconia and Monticello.
Margaret enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, knitting, crocheting, needle point, and was a skilled seamstress. She loved cats, dogs, nature, the outdoors, shopping and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Gail Person.
Survivors include her daughters and son, Kristen (Matt) Goenner of Becker, Brenda (Vernon) Wellman of Becker, Sandra (Neale) Caflisch of Prior Lake and Bruce Ohlgren of McGregor; sister and brothers, Margery (Charles) Longstreth of Duluth, Alvin (Patricia) Jouppi of Isabella, Kenneth (Mary) Jouppi of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Daniel (Susan) Jouppi of Isabella; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 in Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Becker. Rev. Bradley Barr will officiate. Friends and family may call from 4-6 p.m. Friday in the funeral home in Becker.
