I WAS BORN: April 16, 2012, in St. Luke’s hospital in Duluth.

MY PARENTS ARE: Derek and Sara Merrier of Proctor.

MY SISTER IS: Isabella, 2-1/2.

MY GRANDPARENTS ARE: Cindy Butze of Coon Rapids, Minn., and Glen and Pam Merrier of Proctor.

MY GREAT-GRANDPARENTS ARE: Tom and Kathy Totzke of Bloomington, and Dan and Pat Nilsen and Ted and Gerri Merrier, all of Duluth.

MY PARENTS CHOSE THIS NAME BECAUSE: “Parker” for us has two meanings. One, it is the name brand of a historical shot gun our family favors.

Two, it means “protector of the park.” In reference that our little man will enjoy and respect the outdoors just as much as his parents do.

Parker’s middle name is after his great-grandpa’s first name.

PARENTS’ WISH OR ADVICE: We will raise you with ample love, respect and trust. Please take it to heart and preach what you have acquired. Son, become the man we know you can be.

SOMETHING SPECIAL: What makes April 16 a special day to be born on is that now and again Easter will fall on that particular day; quite momentous.
