If you put potatoes in a room with beets and told each to fight to the death, which would survive?
Apparently, this is a question that the St. Louis County Extension Garden Fest plans to answer during its “Veggie Face Off: Potatoes v. Beets.” Well, that’s probably not what they have in mind. Still, check it out at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 27 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2430 W. Third St. in Duluth. The event is held by St. Louis County Horticulture and Master Gardeners.
Registration is $15.
