Misty Allen and Philip Gilbert, both of Duluth, plan to be married May 24 in the Moorish Room in Greysolon Plaza.

Her parents are Chris and Tami Allen of Duluth. His parents are Tony and Crystal Gilbert of Cabot, Ark.

The future bride, a 2008 graduate of Duluth Central High School, is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business marketing at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

The future groom graduated from Conroe (Texas) High School in 2005. He is a member of the U.S. Coast Guard, which he joined in 2010.
