Mark Kosanovich, 81, of Alborn died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, in St. Luke’s hospital.
He was born in Duluth on Dec. 5, 1930, to Marko and Maria Kosanovich. Mark had worked as a logger and an operating engineer with Local 49. He was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church and he was an Army veteran. Mark was an avid bowler, and he enjoyed fishing, hunting and collecting cars.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Mike, George, Sam and Nick; and sisters Mary and Emily.
Mark is survived by his wife, Erlane; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
VISITATION: will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. Pomen Service in Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Highway. Visitation will continue on Thursday, Sept. 6, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service in St. George Serbian Orthodox Church. Burial will be in Oneota Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the Duluth Combined Honor Guard. Arrangements by Sunrise Funeral Home.
