MARIAN S. (NESLUND) BERGE-SCHULTZ

Marian S. (Neslund) Berge-Schultz, 92, of Duluth passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012 at Chris Jensen Health Care Center.

Marian S. (Neslund) Berge-Schultz, 92, of Duluth passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012 at Chris Jensen Health Care Center.

Marian was born in Grand Forks, N.D., on April 24, 1920 to Axel and Amanda Neslund.

She lived most of her life in Superior and graduated from Superior Central High School in 1938. On July 8, 1938, she married Clyde Berge. They lived in Rockford, Ill., Minneapolis, and Phoenix, Ariz. Later Marian married Wilford "Red" Schultz on Oct. 19, 2000.

She enjoyed dancing at the American Legion and the VFW and was a member of their auxiliaries. She was also a member of the Ladies of the Shrine El Zaribah and an active volunteer for charities. Marian enjoyed music, playing piano, singing, family get togethers, birthdays, and holidays.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Clyde and Red; son, Dale; brothers, Arvid, Ordway, and Wallace; sisters, Adelaide and Lillian; grandson, Marty and Thomas; and nephew, Steve.

Marian is survived by and will be loved and missed by her daughters, Claudia and Karol; sons, Ronald and Clyde Jr.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; devoted fun brother, Kenneth; numerous nieces, nephews, and many many friends.

Marian's family would like to thank the wonderful staff of the Willows Unit at Chris Jensen. "Thank you for all you do!"

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 3 p.m. Saturday Sept. 8 at 3 pm with a visitation one hour prior in the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, 624-5200.
