State Rep. Mary Murphy talked about flood-relief assistance available to area residents and businesses during a Tuesday morning news conference at the entrance of Duluth’s Lincoln Park.
Murphy and other speakers, including Duluth Mayor Don Ness and Drew Digby, flood-relief adviser, urged people to file for assistance with the Small Business Administration, a necessary step to qualify for other types of assistance, including forgivable loans.
“People in need … should get their papers filed, because the money is there,” she said.
Today is the last day Disaster Loan Centers are open at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center and the Barnum Community Center. The centers provide information on loans and other kinds of aid that are available.
