Pete and Mavis Moran 40th wedding anniversary

Pete and Mavis Moran of Superior celebrated their 40th wedding anni­versary with a holiday weekend gathering with family and friends over Labor Day weekend. In July, they renewed their marriage vows at Cath­edral of Christ the King.

Pete and Mavis were married Sept. 1, 1972, in Beloit, Wis.

Their children are John Moran of Madison, Wis., and Amanda Moran of Tulsa, Okla. They have one grandson.

Pete retired from teaching marketing and management at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College after 32 years, and from the United States Army Reserve. Mavis retired from teaching social studies and German in Superior, Beloit and in Iowa after 36 years.
