Harley driver critically injured

A collision of two Harley Davidson motorcycles west of Effie in Itasca County this morning resulted in critical injuries for one driver, the Minnesota State Patrol reports.

Gary B. Grosvenor, 53, and Beverly J. Larson, both of Winnipeg, were traveling on Minnesota Highway 6 shortly before 8 a.m. this morning when the accident occurred.

According to state patrol, Grosvenor, who was in the lead, slowed and pulled over to turn, when the motorcycle driven by Larson rear-ended him. Grosevnor was airlifted to St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth where he is in critical condition. Larson received non-life threatening injuries.
