Letters from home
Eric had just returned home from his deployment to Afghanistan with the Army. After a few days of being home he told me that he had made me something special, but I would have to wait a few days until I could have my gift because it was a surprise.
A few days later while we were getting ready to go out on a date he told me that I could finally have my surprise. He gave me a notebook, and the notebook was filled with all of the cards and letters that I had sent to him while he was deployed.
We read through all of the letters together, and he told me that his “favorite” letter was on the last page. I couldn’t wait to see which one was his favorite and to read it together, but when I got to the last page I found my beautiful ring within the pages. I can’t think of a more perfect proposal!
