Superior forest has money for projects

The Superior National Forest has $155,000 available for projects on national forest lands in Cook, Lake and St. Louis counties or on other nearby lands, for projects that benefit fish, wildlife, soils, watersheds and other resources and for roads and trails.

The Superior National Forest has $155,000 available for projects on national forest lands in Cook, Lake and St. Louis counties or on other nearby lands, for projects that benefit fish, wildlife, soils, watersheds and other resources and for roads and trails.

Individuals, nonprofit organizations and local governments can submit Title II project applications. Projects can be completed through partnership agreements or by open-bid contracting with individuals and corporations.

Proposals are due by Aug. 27. The Superior Resource Advisory Committee will meet Sept. 14 to select projects to be funded.

Additional information, project application forms and instructions are available online through the link to the Superior RAC page in the Secure Rural Schools section of the Superior National Forest web site at fs.usda.gov/superior, or paper copies can be obtained from any Superior National Forest office.
