The Minnesota Department of Health has added a Duluth beach to its water-contact-not-recommended advisory list.

Water at the Minnesota Point Harborside / 15th Street Beach on Park Point contains elevated levels of E. coli bacteria, indicating the possible presence of fecal contamination.

The beach joins two other Duluth beaches on the advisory list. The department earlier issued advisories for the 20th Street / Hearding Island Canal Beach and the Sky Harbor Parking Lot Beach, both on the harbor side of Park Point.

Anyone who becomes ill after contact with beach water is asked to contact the Minnesota Department of Health at (877) 366-3455.
