Clifford Raymond Ericksmoen, 87, of Duluth died Monday, July 30, at the Lighthouse Communities of Cloquet Memory Care Facility.
Clifford Raymond Ericksmoen, 87, of Duluth died Monday, July 30, at the Lighthouse Communities of Cloquet Memory Care Facility.
Clifford was born in Blair, Wis., Feb. 21, 1925 to Alf and Cecelia Ericksmoen.
Clifford was a graduate of Morgan Park High School, Army veteran of World War 11, attended Duluth Business University and retired from U.S. Steel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Edith, Hilma, Loreen, and Adeline.
Clifford is survived by his wife Anne; children Wallace, Lawrence (Colleen), and Sharon (Dave) Johnson; three grandchildren Katie (Jasen) Hoglund, Kori (Andy) Shepard, and Stephanie; four great grandchildren Jack, Zachary and Aubrey Hoglund, and Ella Shepard; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Clifford was proud of his Gary-New Duluth home and his family, and was a patriotic American with strong sense of duty to his family, community, and country. Clifford's natural ear and flair for music was displayed throughout his life with his harmonica playing and his guitar sing-a-longs with grandchildren. He left behind a close knit family that will forever keep his memory alive in their hearts and lives for years to come.
The Ericksmoen family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caring staff of Lighthouse for their compassionate love and support.

VISITATION: 9 a.m. Aug. 3, 2012 until the 10 a.m. funeral service in First Memorial Funeral Chapel.
