The Minnesota Department of Health has lifted advisories against water contact at three Lake Superior beaches after tests found that bacteria levels had returned to acceptable levels.
Advisories were lifted at the Lakewalk East/16th Avenue East and the Park Point Beach House beaches in Duluth and Grand Marias Campground Beach.
Advisories remain in effect for the New Duluth Boat Club/14th Street, 20th Street/Hearding Island Canal, and the Sky Harbor Parking Lot beaches — all in Duluth — and the Grand Marais Downtown Beach.
Anyone who becomes ill after contact with beach water is asked to contact the Minnesota Department of Health at (877) 366-3455.
