Chloe Noelle Merritt
I WAS BORN: Aug. 16, 2011, in Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.
MY PARENTS ARE: Annette and Anthony Merritt of Hermantown.
MY BROTHER IS: Simon, 3.
MY GRANDPARENTS ARE: Percy and Rose Johnson of Duluth and Kerbie and Regena Merritt of Cloquet.
MY GREAT-GRANDPARENTS ARE: Janette Johnson of Hallock, Minn.; Marie Kramer of Duluth; Sally Merritt of Littlefork; and the late Elmer Johnson, Ray Kramer, Wesley Merritt and Jim and Edith Iallonardo.
MY PARENTS CHOSE THIS NAME BECAUSE: Chloe means “blooming woman” in Greek and is found in 1 Corinthians 1:11. Noelle means “Christmas” in French. We wanted beautiful Christian names for our precious little daughter.
PARENTS’ WISH OR ADVICE: We pray God’s flower grows with a strong faith like your spiritual namesake, St. Therese of Liseux, the Little Flower, who was an inspiration and helper to Mommy during pregnancy.
SOMETHING SPECIAL: We arrived at the hospital at 8:45 a.m. and Chloe was born at 10:03 a.m. She was born on her due date, one day before Daddy and Mommy’s ninth anniversary. We love you!
