Animal Allies will be at the Duluth Salvation Army, 215 S. 27th Ave. W., today to distribute free 5-pound bags of cat and dog food to area pet owners affected by the recent flood.
“We are continuing to serve flood-impacted families who are coming to us for hot meals, food shelf and other services, and many of them have pets,” said Maj. Bill Cox, commander of the Duluth Salvation Army.
“We hope this pet food will help alleviate financial burden for pet owners who now need to focus their funds on cleaning supplies and repairs,” said Rick Sailstad, Animal Allies executive director.
The pet food will be distributed from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
