The Greater Downtown Council is sponsoring a downtown farmers market every Tuesday at Lake Superior Plaza, at the corner of Superior Street and Lake Avenue, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today through Sept. 25.
Local growers, artists, restaurants and entertainers will be involved with the event, which offers fresh vegetables and fruits, flowers, jams and jellies, meats, hand-crafted products, sweet treats, maple syrup and more.
At least one downtown restaurant will be on hand so customers can grab lunch while shopping the market. Valentini’s will be the featured restaurant today. The father-son musical duo AM Rubin, made up of Mark Rubin and his son, Tony Rubin, will perform.
