With teams from the Federal Emergency Management Agency sticking around the Northland this week to tally damages to home and businesses owners from the June flood, officials are urging people to call in any damage they suffered.

FEMA needs an accurate count to determine what kind of assistance may be available to individuals. The region has been declared a federal disaster area, but that designation only frees up aid for public infrastructure.

Damage reports can be called in to county and city officials who will report them to FEMA, which will then try to inspect damages.
