Eh? Help fill Hermantown backpacks

The cost of school supplies really can add up for families, especially when that family already is struggling to put food on their table. So, the Valley Homemakers Women’s Group is packing backpacks with school supplies for families that use the Hermantown Area Food Shelf, serving Hermantown and communities north.

They are in need of the following new items to be donated: backpacks, scissors, No. 2 pencils, glue sticks, crayons, colored pencils, erasers, pocket folders, wide-rule notebooks, rulers, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, three-ring binders, loose-leaf paper and index cards.

You can drop off supplies at 4503 Airpark Boulevard in Duluth from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.
