Axel and Patsy Wiitala 50th wedding anniversary

Axel and Patsy Wiitala of Maple will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 1-4 p.m. Saturday in the Maple Community Center.

Axel and Patsy Wiitala of Maple will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 1-4 p.m. Saturday in the Maple Community Center.

Axel and the former Patsy Kiiski were married July 21, 1962, in Hope Lutheran Church in Oulu.

Their children are Lisa and Steve Prell of Wausau, Wis., and Tina and David Cardinal of Proctor. They have three grandchildren.

Axel and Patsy are both retired.
