Darlene Jane Veilleux, 76 of New Brighton died unexpectedly on July 3, 2012.
She was born April 26, 1936 in Duluth.
Graduate of Duluth Denfeld High School and Duluth Business School. Darlene worked briefly at Standard Oil, Duluth and transferred to Mineapolis, where she and Ted met. Darlene moved to St. Paul and lived with her aunt, Nettie Watzl. Darlene was a Job's Daughter, her father a Mason and Shriner and her mother a member of Eastern Star. Darlene and Ted instantly fell in love and married shortly after. Their love for each other was very deep and private. Darlene was an exceptional person, loved by all. Her personal love for family was extremely felt, as was their love for each other. She uniquely created special bonds with people and displayed the most uncanny sense of humor ever imaginable. Darlene loved to cuddle children and smooch them all over.
Preceded in death by parents, Oscar B. and Jane P. Johnson.
Survived by loving husband, Ted; daughter, Janelle (Jeff) Carlyle; sons, Michael and Douglas Veilleux; cherished grandchildren, Kelly Veilleux, Mitchel and Chasen Carlyle. Darlene's life was committed to her family and was a friend to all.
VISITATION: 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, in Holcomb-Henry-Boom-Purcell Funeral Home, 515 Hwy 96 W., at Mackubin, Shoreview. Funeral Service Wednesday, July 11 at 11 a.m. with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. in Centennial United Methodist Church, 1524 W. Co Rd C2, Roseville.
