Lester River spills over its banks

Like many others, I was astonished to find that the once calm Lester River had completely shifted into a roaring spectacle Wednesday morning, June 20, after Mother Nature spontaneously dropped inches of rain in the Northland.

Like many others, I was astonished to find that the once calm Lester River had completely shifted into a roaring spectacle Wednesday morning, June 20, after Mother Nature spontaneously dropped inches of rain in the Northland. Paths were transformed into streams and bridges were overwhelmed with the swell of water. It was unlike anything I’d ever seen before — it was the Flood of 2012. — Catherine Vaught
