Eh? Never too early to plan for National Night Out

Although the 29th annual National Night Out isn’t until Aug. 7, it’s not too early to begin thinking about it.

Sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, National Night Out is designed to help prevent crime and drug use by strengthening neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. Last year, more than 37 million people in more than 15,000 communities took part in the event.

Go to nationalnightout.org to learn more about the event or to register. While people are not required to register their event, those who do will receive an information kit.
