Farewell service honors retiring pastor

Faith Lutheran Congregation will honor Pastor Larry Goebel on Sunday, July 24, for both his 44 years of ordination and his retirement as its pastor.
Congregational members have pledged funds to purchase two cows in his name, in support of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s Global Mission program. Additional funds will support Goebel’s mission passion, the NOMADS Methodist reconstruction work in disaster areas of the United States.
The service begins at 9:30 a.m. Faith Lutheran Congregation is located at 51st Ave. East and Glenwood Street.
