Walker to tour flood damage in Superior

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker will tour flood damage in the city of Superior next week.

MADISON — Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker will tour flood damage in the city of Superior next week.

Walker's office said Friday that the governor will travel to the area on Tuesday morning to view damage from flooding that occurred on June 19 and 20 after heavy rains. Walker has spoken by phone to Superior Mayor Bruce Hagen about storm damage in the city.

Walker said the state will determine what resources are available to assist after damage assessments are completed.

Walker's office said he's waiting to visit next week to avoid interference with storm recovery operations.
