DULUTH STREETS: Updated list on condition of Duluth streets and avenues

The City of Duluth has released an updated list of city streets and avenues closed or open to residential traffic only because of Wednesday’s storm:

The City of Duluth has released an updated list of city streets and avenues closed or open to residential traffic only because of Wednesday’s storm:

Closed:

  • Seventh Avenue East and First Street to Fourth Street

  • Eighth Avenue East

  • 28th Avenue West and 13th Street

  • 29th Avenue East (open to residential traffic)

  • 38th Avenue West and Fifth Street

  • Chambersburg, Piedmont to Anderson

  • Chambersburg Avenue

  • Chester Park Drive

  • Chester Park Way

  • Columbus Street between Arrowhead and dead end

  • Dodge Street between 40th and 45th Avenue East

  • Everett Street

  • Exhibition and Hutchinson

  • Gogebic — top half

  • Hudson

  • Mall Drive

  • McFarland Rd off Howard Gnesen

  • Niagra Ave between Kenwood and dead end

  • Seven Bridges Rd

  • Skyline between 9th and 8th Avenue East

  • Skyline between Kent Road to Kenwood

  • South Road

  • St. Louis River Road

  • Toledo Street between Triggs and Humes

  • Triggs between Arrowhead and Buffalo

  • Vermillion Road off Wallace

  • Wallace Avenue between Superior Street and Woodland (Open to residential traffic)

  • West Skyline, west of Spirit Mountain

  • Westgate Blvd pass 67th

    Open but washed out — residential traffic only

  • 1st Avenue East between Mesaba Avenue and Fourth Street

  • 1st Avenue East between Fourth Street and Mesabi Avenue

  • Cody St

  • Fairmont between Woodland Avenue and dead end

  • Glenwood Avenue between Jean Duluth and 43rd

  • Lakewood Road off Highway 61

  • Middle Road

  • Norton Road

  • Observation Road

  • Pleasant View: Open but washed out, residential traffic only

    The majority of city streets have been damaged by the floods; although a street may be open, motorists should drive with caution.
