Severe thunderstorm warning for Twin Ports

As if torrential rainfall wasn’t enough, the National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Pine, Carlton, St. Louis and Douglas counties — including Duluth and Superior.

As if torrential rainfall wasn’t enough, the National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Pine, Carlton, St. Louis and Douglas counties — including Duluth and Superior.

The warning is in effect until 11:15 a.m. for a storm that could bring winds up to 60 mph and penny-sized hail. People outside are advised to take shelter immediately. The storm was moving northeast at 75 mph.

Meanwhile, a flash flood warning remains in effect until 4:40 p.m. for Duluth and the North Shore.
